The Company

The year 1950 was a particular year for Konrad Otto. He decided to dedicate hence­forth his life to the production of ice-cream ­wafers and so he laid the foundation for the Konrad Otto GmbH.

With much aptitude for tradition and quality, Günther Lutzenburger transformed then the former one-man operation to a medium-sized family business.

Fully automatic production lines are running around-the-clock to meet the requirements of all Europe.

Thanks to continuous investments in new ­baking equipment and innovation the production and product development is always state-of-the-art. It also implies that since 2010 the ­company has been certified according to HACCP. The production methods are therefore according to strict hygiene and quality ­standards.

For all improvements is essential: Our wafers must be fresh and taste like home-baked.

The HACCP Certification

Quality management

Our quality management is the basis for a safe and hygienic manufacture of our products in accordance with all food law regulations.

It is based on the ISO9001: 2015 standard and has a certified and continuously monitored HACCP system in accordance with the requirements of the Codex Alimentarius and the regulation (EC) 852/2004.

HACCP stands for "hazard analysis and critical control points" - a clearly structured quality tool focussed on preventive measures.
